Curtis Holt Challenge: Emissive Light

Attention Challengers!

I'm obsessed with emissive material lighting. There is so much potential hidden away in emission shaders.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept, is to create a piece of artwork that uses no lamps, only light created via materials.

If that sounds impossible then muhahaha, look no further than my flawless demonstrations below and bask in glorious emissive light.

You can make anything you like, and be as creative or as traditional as you see fit.

Perhaps create a regular environment, or maybe a fancy new visual effect. You can use EEVEE if you like but you will be missing out on bounce lighting.

Make me proud.

Begins on:

Wednesday 27th April 2022 (Today)

Ends on:

Tuesday 11th May 2022 (2 weeks)

Still images and video animations are allowed (images are preferred for the website).

Only one submission is allowed per participant or team, but you may have up to 3 images to display your idea.

Old artwork is not allowed (some older work can be used to construct the new artwork provided it's not the major focus).

Submissions go in the 🎨submissions channel.

If anyone wants to be notified of challenge updates, just ask to be given the challenger role.

1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be put in the 💖hall-of-fame channel and added to the website.
